Fl studio automation problem?

Hello.
I have abit of problem when recordings automation´s in fruity loops.
First of all it does not seem like its being able to record 2 automations at once, this is one issue.
But the real problem is that it will not record.
I will here the changes live but then it just record blank, no trace of the automation i just recorded.
Anyone else have this problem and know how to solve?.
I tried to search for info but with no sucess. |

yeah man,
Try;
select song-mode. view play list. highlight pattern 10, or whatever. That is usually the main autmation by default.
I just use that for all automations through-out.
Now record and move whatever buttons in song-mode.
After check that pattern 10 for the automations..

I know how to do that, but thats not the problem.
When i try to record automations with my external controller the problem come, maybe its been there all along(before i just clicked my automations with mouse).
It feels like it have problem to record the midi in signal.
Sometimes it does work, but sometimes not. Its very odd.

its on, and all settings are as theyre suppose to be.
But im sure its something else, because it does work to record sometimes. maybe 1 out of 5 or so.
But very annoying when you record(or trying) a really good automation and then it does not save  . |

Yea,got the same thing...Can't record automation for dbglitch,that is fukked up.
For now I'm just recording the sound in edison and dump it into the score as an audio,but thats not the way it supposed to be.

what are you automating exactly ? If its a Exernal Synth or FX controller make sure you have another 2 Cables going from IN to Out of your soundcard or Mixer.. without this you will be able to hear the sound and get signal but not RECORD (it will always record blank)
This is how it acts in my case atleast !! ..
My Setup is >> >>
FL9
MOTU 828 Usb
Oxygen 8 Midi
Waldorf Blofeld - Hardware Synth
& various vsti's,plugins

I think i solved the problem.
It is kind of retarded but so far i have not had any more problem.
I can tell you that i do recordings from a external controller.
If you want for CERTAIN that it will record your automation and not blank, First you must not record 2 things at once.
And also do not have any specific area highlighted(looped).
Somehow when i have specific selected a part of the song and want to record there it will simply not record the automation.
Retarded yes i know, but works for me. |

What you mean,recording only one thing?
Idon't have external controlers,I record automation by tweaking buttons in software,with mouse.If I tweak only one button alone,it will work?
Going to try that. |

You got two hands, so with external controllers you can tweak two things at once  .
But internal i dont know.
Try: having a pattern to record in, having the record option(button) set to record automation.
And not loop any area.
Just simply select were you will start, and have the pattern stretched out as far as you want it to record.
