greetingz ! . could someone be so kind as to explain how im supposed to go about automating events in fl studio .. i havent a clue .wat do i do for example if i want to automate a flanger for 10 seconds or so on any chanel ?
please help a noob !

there are different ways to automate a parameter in fl. you can record button movments . then the events are in the selected pattern. for me the better way is to create an automationclip. there you have an envolpe with endless points in the upper part of the song view. you can paint every form you want and then you can link this curve to the parameter of your vst you wich automate. in the preferences of the audioclip you can choose an range in wich the curve act. please look in the fl helpfile or take a look at the tutorial videos of fl. |

the best solution for this problem is to not use FL in the first place
at least get your hands on Reason 3 or Sony Acid and some plugins.. |

I've tried it..started with it, and yes i think the acid/cubase level apps are a lot better when you know how to use them well.
(I hate reason, only use it for the sounds to import into other progs) |
