hey guys ,
there is a stereo seperation knob in the fruity mixer , just above the 3band eq ...
now the fruity help file says , turning the knob to the extreme left makes the sound for the selected channel MONO , centre -- the knob is disabled ... and extreme right makes the sound STEREO ....
but , wat i dont understand is tht , if turning the knob to extreme right and left results in the sound being changed to stereo or mono , then what is the status of the sound , when the knob is the in the centre ??
[ defaut position , disabled ]
aslo making the sound stereo or mono , results in drastic sound and volume changes for the synths / samples ....
i hope u guys understand me .... pls help me out on this !!!
PLUR ... boom ..

I wouldn't say never use it, because it is very good to mono some thing.
If you have for example an stereo sample, that you want to have not stereo, you can set it to mono with that knob.
I use it sometimes, and it really helpful for me.

if you turn it full to the right its mono if you turn it full to the left it spreads more the stereo image in the middle is default
full to the right it lowers the volume because it doesnt have the stereo peaks not nice but you can turn the volume higher to much it

one side adds more difference between left and right., (this adds stereoness, if it's already present)
(actually, fruity also removes 'sameness' (=mono component) at the same time
the other side subtracts the difference between the channels, while adding the similarities(= again the mono component) making left and right the same = monofication.,
the middle position should leave the signal untouched.,
see my pm's EYB!
