My problem is that I use Fruity loops as a rewire in cubase (But I have also tried it as a VSTI).
But I can not synch them both.
I mean that I f I play some bars in Fl they get out of synch from the bars I have been playing in Cubase.
I can not understand this and I have treid every thing.
I have a 1.6 GHz, 768M Ram and creamware Luna soundcard.
Any Advice would be highly appreciated.

what do you mean you can't synchonize ?
when i used them together it was like this and sure synchonized.
open cubase , load rewire FL , open 16 ch(FL) on which i like to work(cubase) , set out (example FL,CH1) and write layout on cubase piano roll ....
if you make this way and still not synchronized ...
update Luna driver
set lowest latency(check if still not synchonized)
reinstall FL and rewire host.........
hope it helps |

Hi Sektor666,
thanks for answering ..
When I play the Fl insts using cubase layout then all is O.k.
But If I am using bars written in the Fl together with other things written in cubase then they are not synched ,
Did you try it ?

I think i know what u mean.
The sounds is synced, but it seems not to, coz the visualation in fruity is sometimes not really synced.
So the sounds are played, but the time cursor is a bit behind.
Do u mean this?

ahahaha
you want to use .... fruity as hosted program and sequencer in one time ...... hehe .....
so you mainly need to know this thing
first it better to write layout/arrangement in cubase
understand this table second
if you do else you have not synchronized or double signal
set in means only
FL out -> Arrangement - >in Cubase ->Main out
set out means only
Cubase ->Arrangement out -> in Fruity->Main out
so mainly you need to set FL as in so all be fine .....
also remember about same start point maybe you layout at fruity starts at 00:00 time and cubase have some pre delay of start time
it can be many things .... |

Hi ,
Well
1.The voice is not synced as well as the bars counter display .
2.I know it is better ro write layout in the Cubase , but :
- In Fl there is this very nice glide thing which I can not reproduce in cubase.
- It is much faster and easier to start ideas in FL and then when I have something solid to build it with more details in cubase.
3.Sektor666 I did not realy understand what you mean in the set in thing ,
the Fl is a rewire so it should be O.k
4.By the way I do not have this problem with reason or rebirth when use as rewires.
5.I would like to know if any of you guys tried this and seen the problem .
even just to know if it is only my settings or a common problem for FL and Cubase.
Thanks anyway.

sidon and sektor 666 , u dont get it man!
when u are using fl studio and cubase sx 2 as reweire slave and host ... u gotta understand tht ...
" CUBASE SX TRANSPORT IS MASTER TRANSPORT "
so load up everything , set both transports to 0:00:000 and then hit play frm sx 2 transport " always" ... now if u did everythng right , both will b in sync ....
best of luck !!! |

maybe i can bring my own contribution :
how about trying in vsti and tweaking the delay value (displayed on the fruity VSTi picture, for example "-8") so that your cubasis track and the fruity one plays synchro ?
I understand you point about fruity being much more intuitive for creating short sequences, i feel the same way. As for me the default delay is ok for synchro ( i run fl 4 vsti from cubase sx on a thunderbird 1 Ghz with a delta audiophile)
I might be wrong...
