Progressive I guess?

Would love some feedback on this to help me get to grips with things. I usually make Hard Trance and Hardcore so it's quite different to me.

I can hear some hard trance influences .
Kick n base sounding good. You achieved pumpyness.
Its not so psychedelic vibe tho, but much progg is not very psychedelic.
the lead you introduce in the later part of the song is too much hard style, Too me it sounds very boring, not modulated or worked with.
You could get the groove going more with more interactive drums.

cool fill 3.19.

I can hear you got production skills tho so if you want too dive in too the psychedelic ocean. Its yours, just explore and you get ure sound.           .

Thanks you two and thank you for the feedback Grevinsky. I will try and add a few interesting movements into the riff sound to introduce a bit more interest and look at adding more or different drums. Appreciate the help!

Not a bad first try. Consider it far from done though. If I were to make a comparision to something different, Psytrance is crafted more like engineering tools whereas Hard trance seems more like a 2D architectural drawing.

More is not necessarily better, but an additional dimension does not necessarily mean you need to make it more complicated, just more interesting.

It's in the psychedelic area alright, But Triple up your bassnotes and keep the Flangermodulated breaks going.

I like the second part of the track too, from the mid-part, it's good!

Psytrance needs a little more though!            http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

I totally agree with Melange on this one (the others as well of course).
For a first try, it's pretty decent, it's just too much... loopy though.
Most of all, the lead melody needs much more variation, a one bar loop won't do it for a whole track.
Also, what I personally miss here are some glitched percussion effects, some ugly knarzy sounds that make the track sound like real psy.
Kick and bass on the other hand are quite good, no need for improvement there.
