I'm working on this track, I've used albino3, alien303, massive, freealpha, vanguard, and gladiator.
I want it to have, if this makes sense, a watery feel.
And I'm also having trouble building up tension.. I know I can do it with speeding up the tempo of the kick or snare or something... But I've heard tracks that have really interesting ways of doing this, but I can't figure out what they're doing exactly...
I could layer different atmospheric sounds, and layer different leads, but when I do that it sounds messy and bad together.
And there were parts that I just threw in around 1:30, and 2:05 - 2:45, and at the end.

I worked on it a bit more and removed some of the discrepant sections.
I also re-uploaded it to a streaming site:

I'm actually using FL Studio...
But ya, that's what I find most difficult: having sounds that sound good together and are layered well, and putting them in the right place and having the sounds change or melodies change over the track- but still fit in. |
