It's my first time using trilian. Can anyone recommend a good starting preset to work around to create my own bass? i'm a bit lost here

you don't need a preset, just tweak the "init"
enable the filter and tweak the envelopes

If i remember correctly (could be about Trilogy , not very different, can't remember) someone on this forum suggested the juno60 saw or the juno106 saw included in the Trilian library, of course you have to tweak the envelopes.

I like to start with snappy voyager preset so that there is always these preset knobs on main page (which i like to tweak at last).
Choose new saw waveform if u want, i use Trillian patches no Trilogy. Adjust start point so that it's clean and snappy.Tweak decay about 7-15ms both filter envelope and mod envelope. Add mod envelope -> filter1 cutoff. Remember to put all modulation off like lfo. At fx-page i like to use only power filter with low pass, tweak the knobs so that timbre sounds good with kick. BOUNCE GOOD NOTES!
