never give up!
and make the music >you< like,
not what other people say u should do.
but be mind open for critic.
the first sentence is the most important.
and connect to other people which do the first steps too. together is a way better.
be sure that u will sit there and say:"i dont know is this ok? is that crap? is this a killer? does i waste my time ?!?!"
this is the point where most persons give up i think. ignore that, its just the producerdevil in ur head.

to make psy..i reckon u shud lissen to a lot pf psy...check out diffrent artist's style..specially the beat pattern and the basslines...these the important hypnotic parts of the psytrance style which seperate it from other genres..once u get a hang of creating these beats/patterns/basslines..

then play around..express your emotions/creativity with sound FX, melodies and madness!!!

listen to a lot of music to better understand the way tracks should sound.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

do it in your own style !

better a mix of downbeat and trance than working with the "magic-formula"...without experiments no progression...

bombom           experiment !
make it your motto day and night.
experiment,
and it will lead you to the light.
the apple on the top of the tree
is never too high to achieve,
so take an example from eve...
experiment !

Fruity Rebirth & Reason is a great set, closely everything you need to produce nice psytrance

1) dont try to imitate anybody
2) use imagination, compose interesting sounds and melodies.. use unique SFX
3) try to maintain the correct structure of the tracks (i.e. every break must come when the listener needs it and the bassline should be as long as the listener wants it to be)
4) be unpredictable, dont follow any known "rules" of psytrance.. better brake those
5) good bassline is the "heart" of any track
6) and finally.. dont make your music stoned

dont give up and never compare your music to any other band, because at first steps you may sound less good, but it doesnt say you'll sound less good when you become an experienced trance maker
