Big welcome thanks for joining i hope you like your time in the forum.
I am not the pro but i will try give you some help
I had a listen to your song and on my old speakers the sound quality seems good.. The song has some good melodies and break , the kick and bass sound nice.
The song is not finished and lacks longer parts eg try do 33bars for each part and divide 33 into 4 different 9bars that progress every 9 bars. The intro is smooth at 1 min the lead needs to fade more and the sweep needs to be louder...
All and all great stuff i like the feel of the song so keep going, Its also a good idea to try finish what you start.
Peace - Love - Light and Harmony :) |

just a tip for you
take one track which you really Love .
put it on one channel , then fallow it .
* Intro
* Breaks
* Lead
....etc
just fallow the timing it will help you in the beginning , after couple tracks with a different timing , you will not have this problems .
because its sound like my Wife Soup and food .

Congratulations on taking the plunge into psy!
Here are some things that came to mind:
-The intro at the beginning is way to clicky for me (you can do clicky but the way it's done sounds under-developed and is kind of lackluster).
I'd either remove the click from the intro or get really creative with it. If you choose to get creative with it and explore what all you can do with a click for your intro then you'll get a better feel for what you're actually trying to do there.
- The bassline lacks a good deal of character. You can get the overall "bass feel" in the right direction but without creating the real driving groove you haven't really created a bassline at all. It sounds like it was made with the stock synth in fl studio and not modified very much tbh.
I would turn the decay down a bit to get the drive the way you might want it and go from there.
- Way too much frequency overlap when the first lead synth comes in (the overall presence of the synth leads is also too high overall--it's kind of oppressive).
I would just look to eq'ing the sound down to it's basic components and then building it back up to where it fits well in the mix. (This applies to all the synths and not just the first one btw).
- The percussion sounds sampled.
I'm the worst advocate for sampling but if you have to sample...I would try making it sound a bit more like it isn't straight from a kit. There's lot of little effects tricks you can do with phasers, flangers, distortion, etc that can make sampled percussion sound less like a blatant copy-paste procedure. I'd play around with that if you want to sample it.
I'll let you know if anything else comes up but that's what I found out. The breaks are conceptually good though btw--I forgot to mention that.
But ye...amp/filter envelopes and eq all day long my friend.

I can't really comment on the mix as in only listening in headphones. But your on the right track with sounds and baseline etc. But the track needs to have some energy, I would add some long tension build ups maybe. |
