Right this is my first real go at creating 'Psytrance'. It isn't quite psy enough though really is it? I was wounding if anyone could maybe give me a tip or two? This isn't a completed song just what i've done so far. Also mixing isn't too good either, cant afford new speakers.
Many thanks

It sound very GOA to me.. If that was what you were trying to do, its great. I think you need new monitors to improve your sound and take your music "to another level".

If you werent trying to make GOA, change the bass sound, the line is good. And bet on some leads..

Shouldnt this topic be in the "New Tracks" section?           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Thanks very much for your feedback, much appreciated. What sort of leads do i need? Would i be right to say if i wanted to make it more 'psy' it needs to be a bit more random? Im struggling with getting the weird sounds.

I never were able to make a random lead work.. Only in wierd effects..

To kame you lead fit in your song try playing the same notes in your lead that you play in your bass (cause its the structure of your song). Play around those chords..

For your lead sound, for example try a supersaw. I like the Claw

Or something a little more gospel, the Beast

Imagine, automate, tune, fx, tune again, automate fx, tune some more, equalize, and then tune your lead. Usually its not simple and the more you mess with the sound, the more the sound is yours.           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

albino, blue, zebra and such stuff comes to my mind.

I ment the steps you should go thru to make your lead. It shouldn't just be a preset that came with your software, or one you downloaded. And a lead is not just the sound that comes out of a VST... it all depends on the fx you put it thru and how you play it. You should always tweak and tune your lead until it reaches perfection. But only necessary tweaks, if you don't know what a knob does try it first and learn how it works. Like that you know what its going to do before you do it, therefor you can really USE IT when you want to.           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz
