This is one of my first complete tracks called "psyngularity".
it's not really mastered, more of a rough mixdown. i'm not really too knowledable about mastering, although i've read up on some things. however, i'll leave it up to guys to share your thoughts on what could be done. one thing that i might want to change is the bassline synth. i'm using U-he's zebralette in ableton live for this.
it's an attempt at darkpsy at 150bpm.
thanks in advance!

Excellent atmosphere, I totally dig the HL2 samples! As for production quality, it sounds decent to me but I am not to picky about that stuff. I would say make the FM lead more staccato (like it is near the end), but that's just my opinion.
What I would say is that it gets a little boring. You need to build it up to some kind of climax near the end. At 5 minutes in I thought it was going to bust into a climax with the saw lead that comes in but the lead just goes away. The lead also sounds out of place. I am not sure but I think your lead is in the wrong key so it doesn't fit with the bassline.
Whatever the problem is, I would say try and fix it because when i first heard that lead I thought, "ahh! here it comes". But then the lead sounded awkward and unmelodious then just stopped.
So figure out what key (since you just have a monophonic bass it might be many keys) or someway to fit the right melody with the notes the bass is playing. If you know the key you can just put the lead together out of notes from the scale for that key.
That's all I got, but if you can fit that lead in there it will be a tight track~!

thanks so much for your help, I will try working with the stuff you mentioned, especially with the lead. After I uploaded i new it needed a bit more tweaking and such, so we'll see what i come up with.
