FireWire vs USB

I'm about to buy a sound card and I have a few
options which I will not get into them here.
What I really want to know is what connection is better,
FireWire or usb?
I hear allot of voices for each of the possibilities
but I cant decide which one is better.
Any help?
btw, for now I'm talking about usb 2.0.

as long as you want to share the same usb port for your interface and mouse/keyboard..(&other usb stuff) firewire is the way to go..
if you got a seperate usb slot via pcicard or something it doesn`t really matter..
its just that you should have a connection only for the audio path and not for other stuff at the same time..either firewire or usb..
