Thanks Elad!
I have a Sony Vaio C1Z (C2D 1.66) with 4pin firewire and work perfectly with my Firebox...

Im thinking in buy another vaio, the CW21...and have the same port...my C1z comes with Texas Instrument chipset..and I think the CW21 use TI chipset too...anyway they have a ExpressCard Slot if don´t work properly...

I think I made my choice...thanks man!           www.psychowave.net

I had to buy a PC card with 6 pin adapter for my M-Audio Audiophile to work reliably (Texas Instruments chip as well), 4 pin used to be flimsy and lost power all the time           Monitoring devices, know where you go

You have to be careful, as the controller chip also affects how the express card functions. The express card is not always a safe bet.

Some folk run problem free with non texas instruments chips. There are some tasty i5/i7 laptops out at the moment, but its a gamble on whether they can handle pro audio. I have just got a fairly old hp laptop that has a TI chip, so hoping it will be ok for production
