Firewire problem. Please advice!

I have an Edirol FA-101 conncected via firewire. Frequently this device will not show up in the device manager.

However I dont think its an issue with the Edirol because my other devices such as HDD and External burner, also behave the same way(connected via firewire)

So im wondering if it could be a problem with the firewire card on my PC? Does anyone else have this issue with firewire or are your firewire devices generally very stable?

have u cheked in your network connection if the firewire connecton is eenable

, and it your firewire is onboard , have u cheked if in your bios is conected ?,,

and if its pci card chek the system propertys to see if she is correctly instaled
