i allready use .. m audio 6 2 and 2 6 ... the delta audiophile firewire . and the 410 ... and no problem at all making things on laptop ... normaly i wolk on my tower .. but my laptop dont let me down ... whatever is the card .. ( considerable cards )

So.. my issue still hasn't been solved. I have contacted M-Audio and according to them it is an IRQ issue and I was instructed to contact my manufacterer tech support. SO I call Dell, and what response do I get..... COntact M-Audio Tech support. Really annoyed about the whole situation..

Well, it looks like the issue was with the PCI to firewire card adapter that I bought. I connected my 410 to the 4 pin firewire adapter on the back of my laptop and it works fine now.

i got me 410 firwire. This card kicks ass, and affordable too!!! Please think, connect properly then use and enjoy! And new drivers are available at http://www.m-audio.com/
i like this guys , their monitors bx 8 are also very nice
