I'm currently using a motu 828 and thinking upgrading to the 828mk2 or the new Motu Traveler.

Has anyone had any experience with either or has anyone got a recommendation on an interface I should check out?

i have 828 MK2 .... never had problems. excellent sound, excellent stability....

traveller has to be the same with some improvements: It has 4 XLR inputs (with 4 PRE's) opposed to 2 the MK2 has ...

ANybody with the traveller.... What is that "external battery" thing? anybody got it?

I have a new G5 and was thinking of getting the older MOTU 828 firewire used from a friend for $150. Is this a good idea or should I wait until I can afford the mkII or mkIII?

What differences are there between the mki and mkii or mkiii besides lower latency? Do the older models work well with newer computers such as the powermac G5. I know they say that their drivers are current but I would like to know from someone who has experience with these. Thanks for your help.
