interesting expryment hehe well u will usualy not lay for houres.. so my recommendation is a nice hit from a bong and get up to the seq  many breaks for inspiratin hits and films are needed maybe.And take it eazy,dont tink on ppls realeased stuff too much.Do your own films.

Imho taking any drugs will not help you at all!
My tip is to go far away from "inspirational moments", when seems everything u do leads to your objective sound. Making "free" sounds without an essential target can open your mind.
But again, don´t bother so much about quality or sense when making these sounds.

well why not each one has its own opinion I guess.
I didnt use a word of help connected with drugs at this topic.
And we are all individual man.there are a lot of ppl making psycedelic tunes for ages without anything than a clean mind ,some of them sounding really cool.
I like to sharpen my mind sometimes for my purposes.When Im in a far high state I have the brightest perceivement and the less doubts.
And I havent recommended drugs to anyone in my whole life who hasnt already made his experiments.

Sorry TT, but I can't agree with u.
U've recommended a "hit from a bong". So, u did use a word of help connected with drugs at this topic.
I'm not here to argue about drugs. I'm just saying that, as Djones already tested some, I would go to other side for FINISHING THE TRACKS... That's the point of this thread.
I'm just trying to be the most objective. Imho, taking LSD/drugs could make u think about a lot of sounds. But I doubt most of ppl could make it real at so higher state. Also, even if u make a great sound, I will probably never remember how u've done it... lol
I guess that my tip is very similar to the "Making your own patches" thread. Just experiment without goals. Bounce bunch of sounds. Save the presets. If u try 1 week only for making sounds, I'm sure u will end up with a lot of nice samples, and maybe great patches!

No my friend. Please read it again cause its not like that.
I have written that I never recommenden drugs to anyone during my whole life excpet when someone made already his onw.
Djones mentioned rushmooms now maybe you turn the code than u see ....
so I wasnt recommend him drugs without knowing his story. ok? He has mentioned mushrommmms ,and to be honest only therefore I have joined thes discussion .Not to recommend..thiis is bull man I am everything else but not advertiser.Maybe a producer.
np mate.. but I cannot agree with generalizations...

Cheers for all the help guys, some good tips there. I guess one of my problems like you said SMS is trying to mimick noises, now i think about it it's fairly obvious that my experience isn't anywhere near good enough to make noises made by people with a decade or so of experience behind them. Will try some of the methods you've all shared and will hopefully have some finished tunes to share soon!
As for producing whilst on LSD dija, i don't take lsd anymore, i keep it natural nowadays (i just looooove mushrooms and living 30 minutes away from the yorkshire moors means i can always get a good supply for the year), but aside from that i find i get good ideas for songs on a trip, but even using my phone can be baffling, let alone trying to program a synth

hi bro! there is another thing what i recognized. for me is always a good time to finish tracks (also other things) between fullmoon and blackmoon. i am working also on a demo-cd at the moment and the days before fullmoon i had to push myself hard and the result was not verry great, but the last 2 days was succesful again, and i did breaks and other things what i had in my head, in a short time. dont know if it works for everbody, but try it out. good luck, max! |
