Sounds tempting...
But should one's very first track be produced in a 10-hour blitz game?
Not sure.
Can anybody share an opinion: for or against?

Id say its a way to get you to actually finish something. Ive had the same track going for months now and keep modifying little bits but never finishing anything. Although I do keep picking up little tricks here and there that are really helpfull.

I understand the value of this game. Believe me, after half a year of doing nothing but endlessly tweaking Operator's settings, I know what it's about.
But the very first track?..

Orange you track sounds great quality wise, fat bass, good percussion and high quality sounds but a bit repetitive at the beguinning.
Orgytime, nice flow good quality and nice lead sounds.
I'm sorry Daark but Dark Psy feels very unpleasant for me so I couldn't listen to your track begining to end but what Ilisten of it it has a lot of energy.
Finished! That was pretty fun. Two 4 hour sessions done on shitty speakers so I'm sure the mix is off. Definitely not my best work, the melodies are pretty 'juvenile' and the buildups are crap but I had fun and happy with it for only 8hrs

made use of some spare time creatively while on a holiday in India. Used I-Ball Multimedia speakers so apologies for the poor production quality... will sort it out once im back in Dubai.

Hey meat battery, you must have a good fx library or something coz they sound great mate, they really shake the brain. Nice track by the way, interesting.
Sanathana, nice journey into the wilderness mate, very interesting meditational sounding track, full of nice atmospheres and great ambient.
MK47, nice but maybe laking energy on the drums?
But still very nice bass work.

Right, because I dont have much time these days I made the track in 5 hours.
I know its a 10 hours competition and I could go back at the track and make it a lot better but I can't afford to spend time on it right now, maybe I'll use the other 5 hours and make it better but for now this is it:

Something I learned with this is that having loops for your hihats, snare and other percussion is very helpfull.
Also having nice premade fx samples in your library.
This way all you have left to create are Bass, Leads and Pads.
