Although I can understand why you'd like compatibility for some older projects, is there a special reason against the 3rd version?

I wanna use it for Basslines mainly and I've been told that 2 is much better for bass than 3. Also its bound to be cheaper right? |

I'm not sure if it's cheaper...
I would contact linplug about it... I doubt they support it though, thus won't sell it.
I'm not sure why 2nd version would be better than 3rd for basslines... it's the same wavetable synth, if u strip it down.

Have never tried Cronox, but also remeber that it has been told somewhere here by someone with blue nickname, that v2 is better for basslines...

i've used cronox3 occasionally and i don't see why can't u achieve the same result with cronox2.. same thing really.
maybe you have to disable fx, lfo, to dry your sound more.. that's IF you're tweaking already existant presets.
that wouldn't be a problem if you started with an initial patch.
usually newest versions of synths have more fx and modulators. dry them all, and you're cool.

It just doesnt sound the same. v2 have more sentitive envelopes. You dont need a preset file. Just set one osc to saw and go for very fast decay on both filter and amp, watch sustain on amp and filter no sustain, set envmod to taste, cronox2 just barks shiney and rough... v3 wont. |
