Im planning to get one to, but I decided to wait a bit, cause I want another HW Synth first
I really hope they do also sell boxes which are prebuilt, because I generally suck at brazing and fiddling with small electronics

Of course, x0xsh0p.de also sells prebuilt x0xb0xes that fit your needs.
What HW Synth are you planning to get ?
I just sold my Access Virus TI Keyboard and now i am saving for some moog gear, i like the little phatty and the minitaur. Hopefully i get some money soon

Well, I preordered the Arturia Minibrute some time ago, but it gets one delay after another and I'm not sure when I will get it this year. I'm already looking out for an alternative, but its hard to find something good, which is analog and where you can control everything (or nearly) with the knobs and sliders. I don't like it when you need to browse little displays to change the sound
slim phatty would be an option, but it also has lots of its functions hidden behind a small display :/

Big Muff Bass...absolutely brilliant sounding distortion pedal.
Not the raw RAT sound, but quite different with a wider spectrum of distortion and very controllable with high resonance and open filter settings.
Peace out.

Yes, use it with the Moog, the Nord Lead and ES2 (which is pretty much the only soft synth I use these days and I don't use it that much either). Works great with all of them. High resonance settings on any synth, mean detailed screaming leads when carefully tuning the filter cut off.
Peace out.

my xoxbox is sick!!
suddenly the output is very very low, i top up everything and you can hardly hear it
i guess one of the components is not performing well, not great electronic knowledge here, but maybe i could give it a try and fix it myself..any ideas?
thanks |

So I just ordered myself a xox from xoxshop and can't wait!!!!!!! Ive bought a NL2x and virus C in the past but haven't been this excited before. Man I love that acid!!
Anyways, I see a few different suggestions for a distortion unit but kinda torn. Was kinda leaning towards the mxr-m104 but lots of people saying it kills the accent. Anyone here confirm that? Heard a demo with the boss 0s2 and it sounded pretty dope. Also, Nectarios examples with the RAT were really good as well. |

I got myself a Roland mc 202 a few years back. Nice acid machine. Love it.
Still, I seldom use it nowadays. Acid synths are kind of limited and I somehow out grew acid lines as a main element of my tracks.
Anybody feel the same?

Not me. I love acid lines. I can never get tired of them, but as everything else, they need to be done right and fit the vibe of the track.

So I got the Mxr M-104, and I'm liking it very much.
But it's very noisy..., is that normal for distortions?
And if so, how do you deal with noise? |
