if you want to add warm to your music you shuold check this 40$ plug (funny price).

but if you want outborad unit for mastering i think the tc finalizer will do a great job.

i recently bought second-hand behringer ultra-dyne (laugh all you want), and it seems to do decent job for an external unit. It's basically just a multiband compressor with 6 bands, tube exciter and a limiter. I think it'll be great for live purposes. Of course it's probably nothing compared to the Finalizer, but for the price I paid, it's well worth it 
In software i've got pretty good results with izotope ozone.

Hmm, I've been thinking about buying a behringer fx-unit, for so using it as a lofi-fx in my chain
