Im interested if anybody out here has tried Stantons Final Scratch  (www.finalscratch.com)
It lets you play CDs or mp3 off your laptop, controlled in real-time by 2 timecoded vinyls!
Hands-on control for digital tracks, sounds absolutely amazing to me. As a vinyl DJ, it would let me play CD-only full-on psy mixed smoothly like its a record.
 Flabbergasted and gestankenflapt!
If anyone's demoed it: Is it truly real-time and how reliable?

it is linux based, so it must be reliable and real time.
about using it... never have.
this stuff is out about 1.5 years so trytheir forums.

this is championed by eg ritchie hawtin - he for sure knows what hes doing, so i guess it is pretty damn good tool

YO.. im not going to go into all the details about it here cause im dead tired and its 4:15 AM here in DC. Anyways its an amazing product, definately worth the 500 US bucks. It will save you tons of money on vinyl, you can spin your own stuff, never have to buy another record.. but still are able to manipulate music with the feel of a nice round vinyl. Its real time enough for the DMC world champion dj craze to do all his cuts and scratching tricks on it.. which says a lot.. It runs on a special version of linux specifically made for final scratch... you can dual boot with winodws.. it does it all for you. Anyways.. (also you can use your regular PC if you dont plan on using it out right away)...
