Actually the first Hallucinogen material was recorded in the Butterfly studios (Brixton, UK) on a very nice Allen & Heath System 8 Desk.
I've always thought the Mackie was OK but a bit too plastic and cold. I think it's evident on Hallucinogens later material (after moving to his own house with the studio) where the high end is a bit too "screaming" IMO and not as warm as it could be.           www.beatagency.dk
