the new remastered version of Blade Runner has amazing sound.

Is it the director's cut or the original theatrical presentation?

actually it's neither - it has scenes that appeared neither in the original release, nor in the director's cut. i guess they took all the stuff that got deleted from the original and sat in the producers' vault for 25 years, digitally remastered it, and released it as the 'anniversary edition'. it's still the same movie, but it looks and sounds much better, and the ending is slightly different yet again. apparently this is the first version that Ridley Scott had complete control over.

Twin Peaks movie - Fire Walk With Me and TV series Twin Peaks there is 30 episodes 45min each (considered the best tv show ever and I don't watch tv ) , directed by David Lynch an Mark Frost) I find it very tripy and mysterious like all Lynch's movies:
Blue Velvet , Mulholland Drive , Lost Highway and The Short Films By David Lynch and more .
If you like Japan. animation watch "Paprika" , "Tekonkinkrit" its new ones , Ghost in Shell -1 and 2 ,Nautica Valley of the Wind, Cowboy Bebop , Animatrix just to name a few.
And if you want to smile watch Simpsons the Movie, my favorit for now. I will wright some more later.
Enjoy. |

Just out of curiosity, have you read the book? Just wondering how they compare. |

The Visioneer. Has a lot of the same feel as Terry Gilliam's Brazil. A nice black comedy look at corporate/consumer culture. |

The book was a good read. Though it was mostly trying to piece together where he went and what he was doing through interviews with the people he met and other clues. |

The soundtrack by Lustmord and Robert Rich is a must have BTW. One of the best pieces of minimal haunting desolate ambiance I own. |

Ah. After all these years, I've read into it and now understand that their collaboration was "inspired by" the movie. Thanks for the correction. *embarrassed expression* |
