Did any of you guys watched "A giant leap"???
If you don´t,modify that.

I have seen it several times on TV, but I have a somewhat mixed feeling about it. I think they overdid it a bit.

Dear all,

without any doubt "Modern Times" by Charles Chaplin will make you reflect a lot...

It touches a lot of social and human problems regarding the society of today! (Of course in the unique Charles Chaplin way)

have fun

Just finished watching "Whale Rider". A stunningly beautifully filmed piece. The director has my undying respect. Anyone with at least a drop of love for intelligently built cinematography should watch this film. The acting is very very decent also, and the theme while nothing new is a great quality spin on themes that will keep on coming up in art anyways as they are universal, might as well do it in style as these New Zealand film-makers have. A true gem for the eyes. Also the music is very good with some Pitch Black thrown in for good measure.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

I fell in love with "Blueberry" ... right from the start when the young guy went to see the prostitute and after a night of gentle lovemaking they really were in love. And then those terrible things happened... but led the guy to the great joy when he was living with the shamans and learning their secrets.. and how he got down to be a lousy hard-faced sheriff... and how he finally managed to heal his past and move along in his life... and how blissful it was to watch those computer-generated journeys in the spirit world!!!

But true spectacular beauty can be found in those HK movies "Hero" and "House of Flying Daggers" as could be seen immediately in the trailers (thanx Apple!) ... Have to see, have to see!!! Thank you for suggesting them and enrichening my world a great deal!

I also like nice cozy movies like "Chocolat" by director Lasse Hallström, starred by Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp. You know, the stories with really sweet ending when even your worst enemy becomes your friend.

Great topic indeed!! So much average/bad stuff coming from the movie business nowadays (which has already affected to the ticket sales in US). We need more good movies... maybe one about one of the great mystics in mankind's history... Buddha or Krishna or Osho or anybody enlightened... with all the computer generated effects it's possible to visually simulate mystical bewilderment and the luminous quality of everything seen through the eyes of vision. Make the happenings in the energy world and on the higher layers of world visible to everybody... that would be supercool!!! It can only be done with someone who has the gift active right now...

I second that - good movie with my favorite unhurried and calm atmosphere like in Alien/Blade Runner/Garden State.
