I just watched yesterday "The truman Show" for the second time.
Talking about films for thought - that film is a very good example.

I just saw 'Barbarian Invasion' - utterly, utterly brilliant!
Dont be fooled by the Arnie-type title, its a Canadian flick in french...deep tho', cant recommend it enough!
Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,

Yesterday i watched movie The Trip (1967), the guy was taking LSD for first time.
It's really impressive film which puts you into special state of mind. |

For sure I would say an all time favourtie that brings back for the feeling ofarriving in a new country and enjoying it with a special person watch:
"Lost In Translation"... oh and the scene with Bill Murray on the exercis machins is one of the funiest I have ever seen  |

Ukrainian movie, very poetic, impress me a lot. Think that best movie I seen this year.
Also can recommend to find any movie by Polish and finally Franch director Kislowski.- "White, red and blue" |

The matrix(ofcoarse), almost famous***, finding forester**, shawshank redemption***, ali***
will add a few more later.....

Friends -You should defiantly watch KIN-DZA-DZA , yes Russian trance artist took this name. Very recommend. (already in DVD with English and any other translations)
“THE COLOR OF POMEGRANTES” & “THE LEGEND OF Suram Fortress” by Paradjanov Director.
MIRROW & STALKER BY TARKOVSKIY DIRECTOR.
"I'M CUBA" - BEST OPERATOR's WORK EVER MADE IN HISTORY. AND super-super movie.
"Roots, rock, reggae-inside the jamaican music scene"-- made by our brothers from jamaica.
And very recommend to find DVD's - Masters of Russian animations, Vol 1 - 4. You will be surprise and enjoy- better watch with pipe

Dunno if this mentioned already but recently I had the good fortune to experience Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi & the amazing Baraka....these movies are life altering, thought provoking and simply beautifull as well as shocking...no dialogue, just images set to music of phillip glass and world sounds....whats also cool is that you can put on your fave chill 4 a soundtrack!!! |
