SO I just wanted to pick some of you guys' brains. What are some cool/neat ideas for creating cool fills or transitions for tracks? That's actually the part of writing psytrance that I'm having the most trouble/challenges with.

Also, it seems that all of the snare or kick rushes I make sound way too mechanical or sterile. Any ideas about putting some life into them?

turn off the grid
play it live on keys if its not ultra fast , or lower tempo for recording

Make a breakbeat, bounce/render it. Play it one octave lower through 2 different extreme panned efxchannels with at least one of them containing a HP filter on 500hz. Then play around with the original and the (s)lower (but not actually sounding lower) breakbeat.

Elad- Was afraid you were going to say something like that. My stinkin' Oxygen 8 isn't showing up when I plug it in. It turns on, but it just doesn't appear as a linked device. So no live keyboard input until I get that figured out.
