hey all, i have a couple of porlem needed to be answered. first of all -i use both soundforge and wavelab. for some reason when i use efects in soundforge, the effects cut my track and the track becomes shorter.
any ideas? a bug ?
cubase q- when i export a cubase made part in a 16 bit resolution it opens up ok in all programs ( soundforge and wavelab) but in the cubase itself the bpm of the part goes up for some reason. ( when i changed the export part to 32bit it became alright.) why does the the quality of the bit efects the bpm???? hope i can get some help.

some effects on sf can make your wav shorter due to pitchbend effects some vst's carry. you can allways use a time streatch to get it back to it's original length. for that i'd recommend using Acid 3.0 pro.
as for cubase, if you open your cubase and it asks you if you should change the bit rate, click NO. i think that should solve that issue.

about sf: i didn't have these problems but i think for vsti you should use wavelab - it's 100 times better
in sf you can use direct-x effects and also some things like pitch bend, time strectch and more...

Lior i am not sure that the time strecth in sf doesnt affect the way that wave sounds(changing note or pitch) i would rather check it

ok ok, first to lior. its not the pitch band but a sound forge porblem even if i just compress a track of mine it gives me only 1 minute after compressing ( 8 min before..)
about the cubase issue i think you were right at that day it did ask me and i said yes... so thnx allot
( btw, how do i change it? )
superglue- i didnt change the bit rate of my track, it's just waves samples i use in a small kick and base track and than import the good ones to my real full track.
last q- how do i save wav in wavelab with my added effects on ( it doesnt save the effects for some reason)
thnx in advance to all of you.

about the cubase-try to chance the sampel rate when you doing the mixdown and dont forget to press on the uv22 dithering.           "move your body! if you don't have one, GET ONE!"

there is a small button in the wavelab FX box and there is a little button there calls "render"
try to use it and it will update the fx on the wave...
