Feuerhake is a german artist from Hamburg, which has been released on some novetekk compilation.

As i’m pretty sure lots of people missed this album when it was released in 2001 & that groovy morning trance is quite trendy nowadays, i think good writing a review about it coz it could fit to lots of people.

Tracklist:

1. Glowing Magiks
2. Let’s Take
3. Gammel Svensk
4. La Aurora
5. Select
6. Delight Express
7. Bombay Blues
8. Make Love !

Feurhake has a special groove which is fat made of big & bouncy basslines like in Glowing Magik. In this one you’ll find a floating morning break in his middle, hitting melody & also several catching fluffy floating tones.

In Let’s Take, the melody played at funkyguitar is smoother with a very floating background. After you get some discret percussions added for the rythmic.

With Gammel Svensk the melody is going a bit more asiatic sounding, the whole thing is more nervous with soft resonnating electric guitar riffs.

La Aurora is a bit more famous due to appearance on some compilation, it’s probably the maddest track of the album , even if all tracks always possess a more or less hint of crazyness. You take the usual fat Feuerhake groove, you add a big latin spanish influences through the accoutic flamenco guitar melody, the mexican trumpetta background notes & some castanets beat spreaded with parcimony all over.

Select is about more muffled atmosphere, with some funky guitar riffs, & several funny (some in a robotic way , hiccuping robot indeed) jerked sounds skipping off. The discret percussions are quite present along the track.

Delight Express is more midtempo with a nice indian flute part & some other indian sonic environnements, could be perceived as some indian funk style.

Keeping the indian spirit with woman voice & tones clashing with blues crooner deep voice & guitar , another weird concept make with the heavy Feurhake groove. At first the music experience could reveal very confused, but it works.

Last one Make Love !, is fill in with funky guitars from everywhere, a woman strew soft murmurs all along & present us sometimes with an injunction ‘make love’, very dancefloor, fresh & living : a fucking great trance-funkadelic production.

Well, this cd is indeed great in it's diversity and fine rhythms. I like it!! 8,5/10 from me!           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
