Alright this topic has been bugging me for awhile.

are their any yearly expected psytrance festivals in England? The tribe of frog and LC 'festival' didn't take place, is it mainly because of the law or the organization?

Also from the organizers what is needed (i mean paper work) to enable a total legal party? and how much is the crowd willing to pay for a festival (3-5 days?)

Sorry I may not be the right person to ask these questions, since I don't have a clue how to organize a festival (outdoors) in any part of the world hhaha but I was just wondering if it is possible to make a great psytrance festival in england with no hassles and ppl from other parts of the world be willing to come here?

I'm sorry again if I made a fool out of myself but I was just wondering all of this in my head and I'm also new in the country

Thanks           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." Thea Alexander

firstly don't apologise mate, you can _ask_ whatever questions you like ok

so to the topic. i don't know for sure what one needs to obtain to do a totally legal outdoor party, but i do know some things, viz: you have to pay for the policing, medical cover etc reqd by whichever council grants license. this is obviously going to be very expensive for a start. It should be noted however that there have only ever been very few _all_ night licenses as far as i can see.. ie mean fiddler/creamfields etc etc.. things like womad and so on have all music off by 1 am.. i think that it would probably not be _too_ hard to obtain a public entertainment license such as this for a medium sized event, but that the size of the outlay would mean it would have to a be a proper commercial operation that actually employed people to run it and so on... which in our scene i doubt the viability of (in this country.. clearly it can and has worked in others)... and anyway.. who would want to go to a trance festival where the music stopped at 1am???           >>love will tear us apart...<<

from what I gather it seems like a mission to get a festival going in england dam, why are the cops so tight? too many laws and that idea that in raves their are only drug heads.

nectarious, yeah you got a point of small outdoor parties, but my fever for festivals is that a one night party is good for you to go with your friends its very hard for you to have that feeling that the people in the party are like one huge family, I love that feeling plus, you get to know more people without pre arranging before, or because your friend knows them.           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests."
