Festivals with sound volume drop at night.

This happens in the US because of noise complaints from neighbors. It's either turn the music down or turn it off. Sometimes if you don't turn it down the cops will fine you or take you away to jail.
I'd rather turn the music down than give cops a reason to bring more of their cop friends with them next time they come back.

maybe promoters (or promoters girlfriends) don't like the music played in those hours and they (or their girlfriends) are trying to sleep so they can be refreshed and shiny looking for the morning pumping full on smiles on the dance floor.

it is because of the permits they get. For example at fusion the volume couldnt be lowder than 97 dec i think. You'd see the meter going red if it was in 98. sure you can play louder but that ll mean you won't get a permit for next year..
the worst i ever saw was probably rahkti dei. They really turned down the volume after 2200. That was most likely the worst festival i ever been to. Although the atmosphere was really nice and the belgian people are excellent party people! |
