Festivals with sound volume drop at night.

Anyone experienced this as well, where at festivals they turn down the volume with like 70 % at night?
It happened at Transylvania calling this year, Rhaktie Dei this year (not going back there anymore) and at Fusion Festival in Germany last year.
Must be fun if you're a big name like Ghreg on Earth (happened during his set as well) and they tell you to turn down the volume, so we'll have only 50 people max on the dacefloor wondering what the hell is going on.
Does anyone know why they are doing this?
If this is gonna be a new trend, they better mention so on their flyers.
Because it's just really dishonest towards the people who came from far. |

because people tend to eat,sleep and socialize between 8pm-midnight...but the music goes up again by 1:30am or so..

Maybe the organizer wants to encourage the crowd towards a healthy lifestyle.
You know... like early bed time or something

+1 on that, its a big turnoff when they do that, but i think the reason is because of permissions.

In Germany it happens a lot because there's always some neighbor nearby who complains, and even if there are 2000 people partying, the cops come just to make the 3 or 4 people in the house nearby who are complaining happy.
I don't really hear of this happening too much in America, because there, there is more space.

It is fact that it happens here in Germany a lot.And this is really a turn off.. a mega turn off.Espescially when you mainly love the night time on this parties.

ohh man and at Psycrowdelica saturday night, ohhhhhh with Zik, Alien Mental etc. on the program, the music from my car was louder, but they just changed those artist and started @ 07.00 with full power. but it was that or stop the fest. 
also on the other festivals this year I saw guys on the dancefloor with decibel meter, I mean ok. the festivals near residential areas like Rhakti dei, but why in Transylvania in the middle of montain/forest??
and btw. if I want to sleep i stay in my bed 
to use your head you have to go out of your mind |
