the bigger the festival gets, the more expensive the tickets go. as long as u dont make it too commercial i think its fine... i dont think anyone would mind paying the price to listen to good artists and in the freedom of nature

Untrue. Organizers jack up the price just to piss people off and buy themselves that gold toilet to put in their mansion. EVERY promoter makes a TON of money off EVERY show. It's so easy to do too.  http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

but there are still nice gatherings where since last couple of years the ticket price remains arround 40-50 eur. and for sure there are also ones which getting from edition to edition almoust double their ticket prices. the question here is specially to those.
for sure there are many organizers/promoters struggling and losing loads of money experienced personally, but there are also few imo asking tooo much for their festivals
