Hi there,
I've created a packing list for outdoor festivals and parties. Check it out at:

http://bombingsociety.de/foreign/data/misc/oa_packliste.html

It's available in english and german language! Never forget anything at home again.

Please tell me also if i missed something, or if you have an idea of something to add to the list.

Have fun at this years Festivals!!

;-))

bye,
rickski

You've basicly covered everything but as others already pointed out... it can't be carried by one person or even two. If you have a large truck/car and can get it up close to the festival area then your list is really good but not if you're going to stand in line queueing for 6 hours with all the stuff as I did at the Roskilde Festival this year. If your hitch-hiking or traveling by bus then you want as little as possible to carry. Perhaps you should do a separate list for the people without a car too? Just an idea.

Packing not too much and not too little is HARD and even though I'm getting better at it every year (I've been to about three festivals every year since 1997) I'm still learning things every year about what you must have and what you should leave at home.

One important thing I learnt a long time ago is that if you pack all your clothes in seperate plastic bags they never get wet or even damp no matter how much it's raining. Rubberboots is a must too, at least if you're up here in Scandinavia visiting some of our festivals.

If you do some research about the festival you're going to before you leave home you can then perhaps leave some cheap gear at home and buy them at the location instead.

NEVER BRING ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT TO A FESTIVAL!!!

I might post my semi-light-weight packing list later or mail it directly to you rickski if you're interested.

This is my first post and I'm already rambeling :-D

Hi Stormbringer,
of course nobody can carry everything mentioned in the list. I explicitly said in the text before the list, that everything is meant as an idea and should be ommitted according to ones individual requirements.

there are already plans for an "essential" list, for backpackers.

Thanks everyone for the feedback i received via email. Translation into Portogese is on the way. What about a swedish translation? :-)
