Biobazar : « Festin nu » (STUDIO STEREO RECORDS)
Multdisciplinary Artist, Dany Janvier always investigated all the avenues of creation, and since about 10 years, he composes electronic musics under various pen names, but it is really the Biobazar project which persisted through the years. With "Festin Nu" (Naked Lunch), Biobazar maybe offering us its most complete and most finished album so far. Without compromise, Dany Janvier does not follow the day tastes, inspired by cult artists as, among others, The Orb, Orbital, Juno Reactor, and by brigning it his own madness, his own sensibility and especially his eclecticism so rich and disconcerting at once. A matter seems constant through eleven compositions of Festin Nu, is an invitation in the journey.
Every piece transports us on thick sound waves breaking out in hypnotic and transporting atmospheres of quite simple, but shaped by one thousand and one details, melodies.The base pierces multiple layers of an almost impertinent sweetness in a deep and bewitching movement. The structures of Techno, Downtempo, IDM, Electronica, music of the world, the Break Beat become entangled and distorted, pushing away any categorization and leaving all the place to the music. A music "fusionnelle" where live arrangements of strings, brass instruments, Middle-Eastern percussions, films and documentaries extracts, sequences mixing synthetic and organic, displaying loops of melodies sometimes led by the flute, sometimes by the didgeridoo … And when the trip comes to an end with the last note, we realize that Biobazar's music does not really dictate the destination, it arouses the movement from the body to the spirit, the attention up to the renunciation of the senses. "
