I own the Vocaloid - Meiko synth (which is I think only available in Japan, but it basically the cheapest of the several different vocalist versions they have out now). The Vocaloid synths are a bit tricky to use at first and on their own sound a little bit "robot"-ish (although nothing like Delay Lama of course, we are in a whole new playing field here), but with some time and effects they are pretty good. Here is a clip of an early version of a track I made using Meiko to give you an idea of some of the simpler things you can do with it.

Well .. I hate creat a pads without any use
So .. here is the same samp' we just made
now with some otheres tunes and vocals ..
And all in a 5 minutes of work all worlds
are opening in front of u ..
Its eazy and satisfaction work !
