(1) use time-signature parameter to sync to host
(2) calculate delay time from host tempo

steinberg's mod delay provides method (1), so you don't need (2) and get another advantage for free: after changing host speed, your delay time still stays in sync. for method (2), simply calculate the time in [ms] from the speed and time-signature of your wanted delay.

... you can divide 60000 by your track BPM and you'll get the time of one beat in miliseconds.
Let's say your track is at 145 BPM (beats per minute) and you know that 1 minute has 60000 miliseconds, so...

60000 : 145 = 413,7

Each beat of your track lasts 413,7ms, divide this by 2 if you want to know half-beat value, or by 4 that gives you 1/4 beat...

Hope this helps in some way
