Hello all, im not new to making psytrance...however, ive had a difficult time translating my mixes (which sound great while i am mixing them down), into something that resembles what i was hearing.

i admit, my monitors are in a less than desirable position, however, the problem is usually bass related. usually, way too much,
as i tend to try and push the drivers in my monitors so that i can feel the bass where i am sitting, then have a walk around the room to the corners to see how much bass is being thrown out there.

i have switched temporarily to some AKG headphones instead to get an acoustically none-biased environment.

i am playing a live set at a large outdoor festival in September, and i am submitting the tracks for mastering in the next couple of weeks, and i would like to make sure my tracks are not overloaded with bass or, on the flipside, a lack thereof.

please have a listen to a quick mixdown with a bit of comp / eq'ing, and give me your feedback if you have the time! thx in advance!

Hey mate,

here it sounds like a lack of bass. My speakers ain't positioned ideally as well, but good mixes sound good none the less.

Good luck!

could not listen well since i am on the laptop

by the way; walking through your room to hear the bass only shows you the acoustics of your room, better sit in the sweet spot and listen there           http://soundcloud.com/vipal

^ I second the too loud kick and harsh highs.

Also - if you are looking for feedback on tracks you will probably have better luck posting in the workshop section           --

use some analizers to check you ballans ! for an example eq , and i use fabfilter also and just listening if i hear rumble or distorssion sounds , when you locate them cut them out !! , i must say your production is not bad at all , success brother
