its a nice one

Yeah, I heard this track, nice one, but I like more Oakey's energetic stuff - "Ready Steady Go" or "Club Theme". I'm gonna be crazy about them!

Yep, I have both albums of that group too Great stuff as well, although I like Tool better.

you should check out their latest (3rd) effort. Emotive... bunch of protest/anti-war/anti-bush tracks. good stuff.

Yep, I have that one too now. Good stuff indeed and in this music the messages work. Not sure about using that stuff in psytrance though           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Pink Floyd should be considrered as 'Psy', its just that its not trance, but more like trance rock..
anyway, the list for non psy is way too long to put in here..
a few that appear on my playlist regularly are Pearl Jam, Oasis, ColdPLay, Pantera, Megadeth, Stone temple pilots, Soundgarden, Petshop boys, Sting, etc etc etc
a lot of world music like Karunesh, Enya, Deep Forest, Chicane etc etc.
also a bit of old pop/retro/hip pop/ and classical!

P.s I totally dig Shakira vedeos.. if that can be included here           Nothing is said that has not been said before.

Is it just me, or does this thread have the same smell as the "Psychedelic Movies" thread?

Electronically speaking, I listen to alot of ambient, esp. lesser known stuff that, while not psy, is quite a trip to listen to, like Steve Roach, Alpha Wave Movement, Heavenly Music Corp., Ashera, etc., as well as breaks, progressive and tribal house, minimal techno, drum and bass and IDM. On the non electronic side I also enjoy prog rock old and new, as well as alot of shoegazer stuff that's semi-related. And I listen to alot of dub and roots reggae, as well as music from Africa and India, classical, folky stuff, jammy stuff like the Greatful Dead and Bela Fleck and The Flecktones, and jazz.
