Horna, Darkthrone, Tyranny, Cult Of Luna,
Neurosis, Bolt Thrower, Deeds Of Flesh,
Opeth, Isis, Pelican, Marilyn Manson, Metallica, Velvet Revolver, to name some that I like in that genre.
Other random picks:
Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Coldplay, Keane, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Netherworld, Oophoi, Stephen Philips, Lustmord, Aidan Baker, Deathprod, Biosphere, Kammarheit, Svartsinn, Northaunt, Samsa, Pholde, Solar Quest, Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Brian Eno, Numina, The Future Sound Of London, Sequencial, Quazar, KLF, M.I.K.E., Armin van Buuren, Dire Straits, Ozric Tentacles, Enya etc. etc.
My taste is pretty diverse, but psytrance (mainly progressive) is my fave (and most listened) genre by far.

Damnit I forgot to mention Tool. I really like them, especially their 'Lateralus' masterpiece
