Sounds like a good start. The Kick needs more clicky top, the bass needs less! Kick might be too long, try shortening it a bit.

Something I have been trying recently - which I must say has been working perfectly for me - although it sounds insane (yay! I broke an audio rule) is putting an expander on the kick.
When working with a fast tempo, the kick and bass shouldn't overlap, so I usually end up with a kick that is too short to sweep down to the low frequencies. Putting an expander on with a slow attack raises the low end thump at the end of the kick so you get more out of it. |
