hello ppl.....
i dont know how to explain my qustion but i try my best....
well who worked with FT2 must remember that when for example you take some voise or string or what ever, you can cut it with the volume numberes, i mean u write like :
40,0,40,0,40,0,40
sinse i moved almos 8 month ego from FT2 to the cubase, i suffer from this problem that i cant do this "EFFECT" now, i hear ppl do it in track, like gms, astrix, for example, i think there is some plugin that i can do it with it , some one know plugin or some soft that i can do it with it ????
if yes pls pls pls ,im begging, help me ,tell me how!!!!  )))))))
its very important to me , so if some one can help im wait for you repsonse!

it AMP Gate in res. 1/16 one bar full vol, the Next 0 and so on. experiment with the pattern.

in terms of fx this is amp controlled by wave, but there are ready plugs for this: "chopper2" in cubase 5, "chopper" in cubase 3.x
so look them up - they were in the default fx package (installed by default)
or other perverted way:
draw the exact envelope.

...hmmm...haven t used ft 2 for nearly 3 years now, but if i remember/understand u right, u can get this fx with any matrix-seq.
i like the one in reason...and u can search*.ens too...haven t any names but i ve seen some.

i used fast tracker & looked for a long time how to it in cubase.... & i found it 
but it's only work with midi channels
write the line that u wanna "chop" .
open another channel of the same instrument & change the number of the channel to the same as the first instrument channel
than create a new part with 1/16 "snap". get into it & change the snap & the quantize to 1/32
pick the main volume controller & than drew with the pencil 1/32 size than the volume is at the maximum(127) & right after that 1/32 size that the volume is at the minimum (0)
go outside to the main screen again & there u have a 1/16 chopped part that u can copy as much time that u want , u can "glue" them all in one time (shift+glue) .
