I do that with Wavelab.
But first of all you should be able to decide what basetone she has sung.
Or you tune the sample in half-tone-steps up and down to hear, where it fits.

I use wavelab for that:
process-> pitch correction->semitone up/down->length compensation 100

U can try and use orange vocoder.. use it with as less effect on it as possible but it will pitchshift your tune wherever u want it to b           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

his problem ain't the pitching - it's finding the curent note of the singing voice.

I wish I could help but I just never used such programs...

He wants to fit the vocal to the scale he is working on.

That is what vocoder is for ( use the little piano on the down right corner to create a chord that fits your needs )           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

it doesn't matter...

if he can't find the actual pitch of the wav - the piano won't help him in the vocoder....

millions of programs can do pitching - but he is looking for a program that can find the note of the wav...           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

the thing is that i don't want to change her voice, i want it to stay close to the original.

thanks again mates

so she sings in a G#m SCALE. not tone. there's a difference between a tone and a scale.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

I believe u r wrong in this. A simple synthesis can find the note of a certain sound. For example, it is known that 55hz is A, and 58hz is A# on the first octave.. There are exact values for each notes.. 7740hz is A8 for instance. Threrefore I believe that in the case of the Orange Vocoder that the synthesis is done b4 u play the keyboards of the Virtual Synth and when u do it plays the actual note u intend to play.. AND it wont do the stretching but definitely the wave will suffer, therefore is not what Prosect wanted..
