What the fuck is with fart noises in the trance music? like the classic squelch sounds. I noticed in some of the more abstract soundscape orientated trance there will be the sounds of water droplets or like deep abdominal digestive sounds. Its seems very genre specific... Psychedelic rock music doesn't use this acoustical palette. Any thoughts?

ya, my thought would be like, because it's linked to nature & the farts & deep addominal digestive sounds are natural so make sense to me....

I don't know what farty sounds you're talking about, but the "water droplet" soundsare something you'll hear in a lot of twilightish and more intelligent/abstract night or "dark" psy. I freaking love this sound, not sure why but there's something really mind tweaking about ping-pongy, aquatic sounds. |

I've never heard Fart Noise in psytrance music 
I think it's more of how your brain perceives the squelchy noises

Those cat voices/farts as you say are the most welcome for any REAL psy mind.
I think your mind cant handle them…
the rumor says that only people on psychedelics understand them. But never take this as advise.
