FL is da shait bra...
seriously, lotsa peeps who are pro use FL.
True, the mixer is not the easiest to use, but you can get very decent sound quality out of FL...

I'm just starting to try to produce again and going to use fruity as a sequencer for hardware synths, then running the audio into another comp with cubase to record.
I really love the sequencing on fruity but it really is a pain in the ass with handling audio files compared to logic/cubase.
This kind of setup is something to think about as you don't need much power at all on the sequencing computer. There is also some kind of productivity advantage at least in the way I think when you seperate completely sequencing vs recording..

i would recommend to use FL (Rewire) on Cubase
