i dont see any difference between live act who plays his whole set from cd and jumps around than live act who plays his set from laptop and has midi keyboard with him, where he put some stuff on top of "pre recorded set"
wich one of these is fake the guy who doesnt even bother to look like he's doing something or the guy who pretends to do something with his midi keyboard.
mostly i think artists that have equipment on stage are just having them to have something to do on stage but basicly there is no such thing as proper live in psy (yes there is exeptions).
some of the producers can reply to this and tell how much actually they do on stage with their equipment and how much is it just to entertein them and audience

very very real extra cool live acts:
O.o.o.d (full band)
Tom Cosm (master of ableton live , it might look like "midi controler" only but its false there is SO MUCH to do with his methods)
Reality Pixie (quite similar with Cosm , with extra cool WII remotes for controling)
Sun project (full band)
Texas Faggott (2 people going nuts with synth guitars and mics on top of their tracks being mixed on the fly)
Squaremeat (playing the tracks in audio channels with 2-3 main leads in midi and make all the knob chages in live , diffrent from originl , pritty cool)
Eat Static (1 man madness)

the thing about kdd, is that when i list10 to him at home with my average speakers it sounds ok.. but when i saw this guy live once, it was pure madness- mind phuking music. this is music that requires big ass speakers.. |

You know guys to tell the truth I play my set as live as possible and nobody gives two shits... Most people are trancing out with their eyes closed to worry what I am doing at the console.
It's almost not worth it really...
At least I won't end up on deadact.com though hahahah |
