I already tried and failed miserably!! Couldn't get anything that I was happy with.
The samples are difficult to work with due to the distortion and filtering of them. The vocal is wicked tho. I think if you are going to do this well u need to make something very original and use the samples as a garnish. Otherwise you get a replica of the original tune with a different drum beat and that would be boring. The bpm isn't the best to work with, some time stretching may be necessary.
Why I say this i because i have been listening to the Shpongle remix album, which is amazing!! It seems that they mostly do something very original and each tune works very well.

oh btw does this forum run competitions at all? Could be good for the motivation and production skills.
