I think isra has a good purpose too though. not everyone is already friends with people on here. this forum can provide a nice avenue for people who are looking for events that aren't already on everyone's facebook 'friends lists'.

I feel like each servers a unique purpose ...

Isra = my trance community hub

Facebook = my facespace on the interwebs if anyone wants to pretend like they care what I'm doing lol

Facebook is where I connect with friends/family and local events...

Isra is where I find out whats going on outside of my local bubble, well and where I watch people get sucked into pointless drama...
I guess if people didn't have forums to do that in, it might leak into other parts of their lives??? I dunno I'm still on the fence about it.
Honestly, I have considered erasing my Isra account, but have decided its a useful tool for keeping in touch with trance worldwide.

This forum is pretty much useless for event promotion in USA. 80% of the traffic is just other promoters...           Spacecamppsyfari.com

i think isra and facebook are two completely different things. ive made a lot of good friends thru here. i still prefer finding out abt parties via isra, and I find about most of them through isra. my facebook gets way too clogged up with all kinds of invites n bullshit i tend to get lazy about going thru it, over here I can just go the section I want and find out what I want. For example I only found about the Glossolalia party happening this August in Mexico thru this forum, I prob wouldnt have heard about it otherwise. Also isra can be priceless when travelling or moving to a new country as a way to connect directly with the local psyscene, no way facebook can compare in this way. theres a lot of threads to just be stupid in, a good amount of serious ones too. i guess what im saying is facebook is good for keeping in contact with people you already know, isra is better for meeting people and having discussions.

I disagree, you control your page and what you see, so if you're experiencing drama, you're letting it happen.
