Good Morning Everyone!
How are you all? Make it through another summer week of heatwaves and freedom okay? I had an absolute blast at Catharsis last weekend and this week I have been listening to mad amounts of hiphop and rap albums. I have a feeling that a lot of this will be seeping into today's show. And I have some delicious new trance as well. And some other odds n ends. I just wish that I didn't need to leave the station at noon, because at noon, Portland will be roasting. And I'd rather not deal with that today. Tomorrow, sure. Today, meh. Oh, and since I keep forgetting to mention this on my show properly, September 18th is my 10-year Anniversary at KPSU and will also be my final broadcast with the station. 10 years is a longtime to spend with a person/place/thing and it is time to move out of the sub-basement. I'm sure that we'll have some fun up until then though.

And those summer festivals and parties just do not quit. Last weekends Catharsis event was definitely one of the best events I have been to in years. In fact, all summer I have been going to fantastic stuff. 2009 is easily slaying 2008 in quality events. This is a good thing. This weekend is the Bridge to Nowhere party, the Day Out of Time festival, and the little psytrance fundraiser. All of these events have been given Seals of Approval by various friends of mine, although I personally don't trust any event based on the fucking Mayan Calendar of Impending Doom. So I'd probably opt-out of that one. Next weekend is Fire and the final Oracle party. Then Photosynthesis. Then the Pokemon rave and Hempfest. Then we have some Reactionary stuff and a Ween show. There is Burning Man and a Placebo concert. ChickenFest will be in the mix somewhere at some point as well. July is almost over, but we still have a full summers worth of fun left to go!
