Good Morning!!
It's May Day. That means it is the day that your boss should fucking respect the ever-loving shit out of you. If your boss isn't saying Please and Thank You today, and then saying that you are lucky to have a job during this economy, politely tell that asshole to go fuck themselves. Over there -->
Take a long lunch. Leave early. Go march and protest with your fellow abused workers. Light your building on fire. Collectively join forces and demand health insurance, PTO, and a damn raise. Or, do none of those. But don't take shit from your boss today. Your boss is just an asshole. That's all. And if your boss is cool, then let them know. Feedback is important. It's how people learn things. Communication. Feedback. Reflection.

So last weekend's Downtempo Mastiff was AMAZING! I am very thankful to have been able to have participated in such an event. The music, in both rooms, was gorgeous. The people at the party were lovely. The decorations and atmosphere were welcoming and inviting. All in all, it was the best night of therapy that I have had in months. I was able to connect with some old friends and new ones too. If you missed it, you really missed something special. Sorry. But, there is always something happening, so maybe the next event will be able to move you the way last weekend moved me.
This weekend is Renn Fayre (sp?). Now, Reed is Reed. It is expensive to go if you can't get in for free. But, sometimes the crowd of people is just right and fun is to be had. I don't really know much, but I do know that Saturday morning, starting at 8 in the Black Lodge, there is some great music. I play at 8, followed by Philly G, Mac, and then Kid Whatever. After that, I have no idea. Then Saturday night has Amanita, Osiris, Waater, Blue Spectral Monkey and others as well. I really don't know info about shit. But whatever. If you're going, you're going. If not, well, there are other things going on too.
Then next Thursday, for First Thursday, the Reactionary crew are doing an art show at the wonderful Vino Vixens (2929 SE Powell - 21+ - Free). It'll feature music from Suff-X, Saucy Possum, Ovenrake, and myself! There will also be excellent art from: Penpointred, Rick Bouden, and Brett Bowers! Should be a great time at the best wine shop in Portland!
Oh, does anyone have a massive cargo van? The kind that bands tour in. Maybe a UHaul style box truck? If so, let me know! My email address is listed up above.
Burnt Toast crept into my life like the asteroid that killed the baby dinosaurs.
